Crisis Intervention

Crisis Intervention is provided to immigrant and visible minority women who are fleeing abuse. It helps the client deal with the immediate crisis and cope with the emotional confusion, pain, anger and stress that she is experiencing at the time.

Crisis counsellors work with the women to ensure her safety and the development of a safety plan. They then help her make future plans with the IWSO counselling service or with other agencies and resources in the community.
